.DESCRIPTION AND USES

Rust-Oleum
®
Specialty Camouflage Sprays are designed
to provide a non-reflective finish on hunting and sporting
equipment. Various colors can be combined in a variety of
patterns to blend with any terrain. Camouflage Sprays are
suitable for use on vehicles, tree stands, decoys, blinds,
boats and equipment.
Some plastics made of polyethylene such as Little Tikes
®
children’s product are manufactured in such a way that
may hinder maximum paint adhesion. Test paint in an
inconspicuous area first. Not for use on galvanized metal.

.PAINTING CONDITIONS .
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area. Use when
temperature is between 50-90°F (10-32°C) and humidity is
below 65% to ensure proper drying. Avoid spraying in very
windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to
protect from spray mist.
.PRODUCT APPLICATION .
SURFACE PREPARATION
ALL SURFACES: Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and
chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a
commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method.
Mold and mildew must be cleaned with a chlorinated
cleaner or bleach solution. Rinse with fresh water and
allow to thoroughly dry.
STEEL: Scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to
remove loose rust, scale, and deteriorated coatings. Use
7569838 Red Primer for sound rusted or clean metal
before application of a finish coat.
PREVIOUSLY COATED: Previously coated surfaces must
be sound and in good condition. Smooth, hard, or glossy
surfaces should be scarified by sanding to create a
surface profile.

Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means
may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. LEAD IS
TOXIC. Contact the U.S.EPA/Lead Information Hotline at
1-800-424-LEAD pr log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during
use. Hold can upright 12-16" from surface and spray in a
steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each
stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface.
Keep the can in motion while spraying.
Apply a base coat of one color first. Then use leaves and
twigs as stencils. Apply a base coat of color. Lay the
leaves and twigs randomly over the object you are
painting. Spray over the items using three or more colors.
Do not use near open flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF (21°C) and 50%
relative humidity. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to
handle in 1 hour and can be recoated within 1 hour or after
24 hours. It is fully dry in 24 hours. Note: On plastic,
maximum paint adhesion and durability is achieved in 5-7
days.
CLEAN-UP
Wipe off tip before storing. Clean up wet paint with xylene
or mineral spirits. Throw away empty can in trash pick-up.
Do not burn or place in home trash compactor.
CLOGGING
If the value clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object
into can valve opening.
