Rust-Oleum
®
Specialty Frosted Glass is a finish that
obscures vision, but lets light shine through painted objects.
Ideal on glass doors, windows, skylights, outside of shower
doors and greenhouses. For a decorative effect, use a
stencil to create an etched look on mirrors, shower doors,
glass accessories and more. For use on interior surfaces
only.

PRODUCT APPLICATION
Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open
garage. Use when temperature is between 50ºF (10ºC) and
90ºF (32ºC) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper
drying. Do not apply to surfaces that are exposed to
repeated water contact such as the inside of a shower door.
Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover
surrounding area to protect from spray mist.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants
by washing the surface with soap and water and let dry.
PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.)
APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for two minutes after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle, DO NOT STRIKE
CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold
can upright 10-12" from the surface and spray in a steady
back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the
can in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more “wet” coats a
few minutes apart for best appearance. (A “wet” coat should
appear shiny as it is applied to the surface.) WAIT 10
MINUTES FOR FROST EFFECT. Do not use near open
flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F (21°C) and 50%
relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures.
May recoat at anytime. Dries completely in 5-10 minutes.
CLEAN-UP
When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can
upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Clean
up wet paint with xylol or mineral spirits. Throw away empty
can in trash pickup. Do not burn or place in home trash
compactor.
Please note: Frosted surfaces may be cleaned with a
household glass cleaner and soft cloth or hand-washed with
liquid soap and water. Do not place items in dishwasher. To
remove frosted finish from glass, use lacquer thinner or
acetone.
CLOGGING
If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object into
can valve opening.
