.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Rust-Oleum
®
High Performance Wheel enhances the look and
color of automobile wheels and helps prevent the formation of
rust. It is suitable for use on plastic hubcaps and wheels made of
aluminum or steel. High Performance Wheel features an
advanced spray system that allows you to spray at any angle,
even upside down for those hard to reach areas. A comfort spray
tip with a wider finger pad reduces fatigue caused by continuous
spraying.

..PAINTING APPLICATION .
PAINTING CONDITIONS
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open
garage. Use when temperature is between 50-90°F (10-
32°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying.
Do not apply to surfaces, when heated, exceed 200°F
(93°C) or galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy
and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect
from spray mist.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Wash the surface with a commercial detergent, or other
suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and dry
with a clean cloth. Thoroughly wipe down the wheel
surface with Rust-Oleum Wax & Tar Remover. Remove
loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper.
Lightly sand smooth and glossy surfaces. For best results,
use Rust-Oleum Adhesion Promoter or sand surface with
#1000 grit sandpaper.
WARNING: If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may
release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN
DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN
SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved
respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a
HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to

APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during
use. Hold can upright 10-16" from surface and spray in a
steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each
stroke. Keep the can in motion while spraying. For best
appearance, apply one light coat followed by one wet coat.
Do not use near open flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F and 50% relative
humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to
touch in 10 minutes and is fully dry in 30 minutes. To
improve the finish gloss, apply a topcoat of High
performance Wheel Clear after 10 minutes.
CLEAN-UP
Wipe off tip when finished. Clean-up wet paint with xylene
or mineral spirits. Properly discard empty container. Do
not burn or place in home trash compactor.
CLOGGING
If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object
into can valve opening.
