OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USING THE KETTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME

 Fill the kettle to the Max point, boil, discard the water, then rinse the kettle. Do

this three times, to remove manufacturing dust, and other impurities.

POSITIONING

 Place the kettle stand on a stable, level surface. Ensure that the cable is

positioned so that it does not hang over the surface edge where it can be hooked

or tripped over by persons walking past.

 Wind excess cable into the convenient storage facility beneath the kettle stand.

FILLING THE KETTLE

 Remove the kettle from the stand.

 Grip the handle in one hand, grip the lid knob in the other, and pull the lid off.

 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above Max point.

 If you overfill the kettle, it may spit boiling water while operating.

 Replace the lid, and press down to secure it in place.

 Check that the lid is closed, or the kettle will not switch off when it boils.

SWITCHING ON

 Plug the stand into the wall socket.

 Gently position the kettle on the stand.

 Press the switch down.

 The switch will light up, and the kettle will heat up.

Please beware of escaping steam from the lid of the kettle when in use.

SWITCHING OFF

 When the water has boiled, the kettle will switch off automatically, the switch will

return to the “off” position and the light will go off.

 The kettle can be switched off at any time before the water boils by lifting the

kettle off the stand.
