C SWITCHING ON 10 Put the kettle on the stand – take care not to spill. 11 Plug the stand into a power socket (switch the socket on, if it’s switchable). 12 Move the switch to 1 – the light inside the kettle will glow, and the kettle will heat up. C SWITCHING OFF 13 When the water boils, the kettle will switch itself off, and the light will go out. 14 To switch off manually, move the switch to 0. 15 Lifting the kettle off the stand will also switch it off.

D WIRING INSTRUCTIONS UK plugs only The product must be earthed. It has a 13A BS1362 fuse in a 13A BS1363 plug. To replace the plug, fit the green/yellow wire to E or E, the blue wire to N, and the brown wire to L. Fit the cord grip. If in doubt, call an electrician. Don’t use a non-rewireable plug unless the fuse cover is in place. If you remove the plug, dispose of it.
