The MODAT-328 is a multi-modal device that supports 1D and 2D barcode scanning, RFID and imaging. RFID technology is capable of
"simultaneous identication," capturing data from multiple tags within specic range all at the same time. In addition to RFID, the MODAT-328
has a built-in barcode scanning capability and a 3 megapixels camera with high power LED flashlight. The MODAT-328 is an ideal
transaction-based stocktaking PDA.
Combined with mobile computing and Web technology, RFID technology provides a way for organizations
to identify and manage their assets in real-time.
The MODAT-328 integrated with RFID readers delivers a complete set of tools that eliminates paperwork,
and gives proof of identication and attendance. Manual data entry becomes a thing of the past. Its RFID
reader module supports standard ISO 14443A ISO 14443B and ISO 15693(smart label).

MODAT-328's built-in barcode scanner can integrate with warehouse management software, providing
rapid gains in storage efciency. The MODAT-328 can quickly collect the data and build an inventory
database. Through the warehouse management system, managers or administrators can calculate
how much space is needed and where to put these items. Based on storage rules the customer needs
and formulas designed to store inventory with maximum efciency, the MODAT-328 can provide very
detailed up-to-date information on key aspects of the business, enabling decisions to be made much
more quickly and with more condence. For example: fast-selling items can be identied quickly and
automatically reordered to meet consumer demand, preventing a build-up of unwanted stock.

1D barcode is common in most household products and 2D barcode is common in industrial
products where more information is needed to be stored in the label.
