2. Slide the backstrap down and out of the grip frame. (See Figure 25a.)

NOTE: The full size SR9 and

SR40 have a backstrap bushing

which must remain in the correct

position during assembly. (See Figure

25b.)

3. Now reverse the backstrap (see Figure 26a), slide it back into the grip frame

(Figure 26b) and reinsert the pin. Be careful to push the pin in far enough so

that it is centered in the grip frame.
