3. Keep upward pressure on the
slide stop to prevent forward
movement of slide. The open
slide is under strong spring
tension and could injure fingers
if allowed to slam shut. Insert
finger (or another non-metallic
object such as the eraser end of
a pencil) through the top of the
slide and push the ejector
downward and forward until it
locks in its forward position.
(See Figure 11.) This will permit
forward movement of the slide
off the front of the frame.
Further disassembly is impossible unless this is done.

TO DISASSEMBLE
Be sure pistol is unloaded!
1. Keep pistol pointed in a
safe direction. Press
down on the magazine
latch and remove the
magazine. (See Figure 9.)

2. Pull the slide to the rear
and lock into the open
position by pressing
upward on rear on the
slide stop. (See Figure
10.) Again, be sure
chamber is empty!
