state of California to cause birth defects,
reproductive harm, and other serious

magazines are 30-round, 5.56mm magazines (marked on
the follower) and are designed for use in the SR-556. Use only high-quality AR-style
magazines which are clean and in good working order. Magazines that have been
tested and approved for use with the RUGER
®
SR-556
TM

LOADING THE MAGAZINE
Use only clean, dry ammunition of the
proper caliber 5.56mm NATO or .223 Rem.
manufactured to U. S. Industry
specifications, in good condition. (See
Notice and Warnings in other sections of
this manual pertaining to Ammunition).
With the short end of the magazine facing
forward, place a round between the lips of
the magazine with the bullet forward. Press
the round down until it is held by the
magazine lips. Place the next round and
repeat until the desired number of
cartridges are loaded.
DAMAGED, NON-STANDARD, OR IMPROPERLY
ASSEMBLED MAGAZINES SHOULD NOT BE USED.
THEY CAN CAUSE THE RIFLE TO MALFUNCTION.
