5. Push the slide backward
slightly (1/16” or more)
and pry loose the
takedown pin using a
screwdriver or other flat,
blunt tool (see Figure 6).
6. Remove the takedown pin
completely (see Figure 7).

forward and separate it
from the grip frame (see
