10.4 Operational test
Please test general operation of the UPS whenever you carry
out maintenance work.
UPS operating state:
Whenever the primary power supply is active, the UPS should
operate in normal mode
. In the event of a primary power sup-
ply failure, the UPS is forced to operate in battery mode
. No
fault message should be output in either case.
Switchover:
Simulate a power failure by tripping the building wiring fuse.
The UPS should be able to switch between normal mode
and
battery mode
(see Section 9.1) without any problems.
After simulating the power failure, reconnect the mains to the
UPS. The UPS should then switch back from battery mode
to
normal mode
.
LEDs:
While the UPS is in the above operating states, check whether
the LEDs are providing a correct indication of the relevant
operating modes.
