Converting DVD-Video Content
This section describes the basic process of converting a DVD-Video disc to
another video format with Toast.
To convert a DVD-Video disc:
1 On the left side of the Toast window, click Convert and choose the disc
format. For example, choose DVD-Video Disc.
2 Select your source DVD-Video disc in the pull down menu or drag
your VIDEO_TS Folder in to the content area. A summary of the
information that will be copied appears in the content area.
3 Click Options to select which individual movies, extras, and audio
languages which will be converted. See Changing Copy Options on
page 128 for more information.
4 Click the red Record button.
5 Choose your video output format or the device for which video should
be optimized.
6 Select a video quality level.
7 Choose a location such as a folder on your hard disk or send the video
directly to iTunes.
8 Click Export to continue.
Note By clicking on the Preview button before beginning your
export, in just a few seconds you can see how your video will look
at the selected quality level. This saves you the time of having to
finish the conversion before deciding you need to adjust the
quality level.
