Intended Use The Roughneck Professional Pistol Grip Grease Gun is used to grease fittings in automotive, fleet, industrial, farm, and construction fields. • 14-oz. capacity • Grease cartridge or bulk fill • Develops up to 5000 PSI • Delivers up to 1-oz.

Cluttered, wet, or dark work areas can result in injury. Using the product in confined work areas may put you dangerously close to cutting tools and rotating parts.
⚠CAUTION GREASE GUN USE AND CARE • Do not force the grease gun. Products are safer and do a better job when used in the manner for which they are designed. Plan your work and use the correct product for the job. • Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never operate the product with a damaged part. • Store the product when it is not in use.
Main Parts of Grease Gun . Subassembly Grease gun barrel (1) Grease gun head (2) Grease coupler (3) Flexible hose (4) Assembly Instructions Setting Up the Grease Gun Head (refer to Parts Diagram) Note: Use Teflon tape while connecting the flexible hose (19) to the grease gun head (13) and grease coupler (18) to the flexible hose (19). 1. Connect the flexible hose (19) to either of the ports (top or front) on the grease gun head (13). 2.
⚠WARNING • Grease or empty cartridge in barrel is under pressure from the internal spring, be alert when removing head of the barrel. • Do not apply excessive torque or over-tighten the grease gun head as this will apply undue stress to the die cast outlet and may cause it to fracture. Loading the Grease Gun Removing Cartridges 1. Pull out the plunger handle (17) to its maximum distance and lock it in place. 2. Remove the grease gun head (13) by turning it counter-clockwise. 3.
2. Remove the grease gun head (13) from the grease gun barrel (1) by turning it counter clockwise. 3. Insert the open end of the cartridge into the grease gun barrel (1) and push it all the way in. 4. Remove the seal or pull the tab end from the cartridge. 5. Attach the grease gun head (13) to the grease gun barrel (1) by turning it clockwise. 6. Release the plunger handle. Bulk Fill 1. Completely draw back the plunger handle (17) and lock it in place. 2.
Removing Trapped Air After filling the grease gun, trapped air should be removed by following these steps: 1. After filling the grease gun barrel (1) with grease (using methods previously mentioned) and reassembling the gun, keep the barrel at least 2-3 turns open. 2. Release the plunger handle (17) and push it in. 3. Push the plunger handle (17) to remove any trapped air pockets. 4. Tighten the grease gun head (13) to the grease gun barrel (1). The grease gun is now ready to use.
