3.12. System Restart
A system restart will occur when the ENTER button is held for more than 10 seconds and less than 20
seconds.
An alternative method to perform a system restart is provided in the Browser Interface, under the System
Settings tab.
3.13. Operation Recovery without Current Time Data
A special condition arises when the netAQUA starts-up and determines that date and time information is
not available. This can occur when there is no Internet access or when the NTP feature is not enabled,
and when the netAQUA has been turned off for a long period of time, so that the Real Time Clock (RTC)
device has stopped maintaining the date and time. Under these circumstances, the date and time is
programmed to Sunday, 00:00:01 (12:00:01 AM). All programmed watering cycles will execute based on
this start time.
3.14. Freezing Temperature Protection
If the netAQUA determines that the local temperature sensor is installed and enabled by the user, and
with the Freezing Temperature Protection is enabled, any programmed cycles will execute, but only if the
local temperature sensor indicates a temperature above the configured threshold.
If local temperature is not enabled, or the local temperature sensor is not installed or fails, all
programmed cycle(s) will execute regardless of temperature. In this case, you must ensure that watering
does not take place in freezing conditions.
3.15. No Internet Access
Some of the netAQUA features rely on internet access to function properly. This includes processing of
internet temperature and humidity. If these stimuli for cycle duration calculations are enabled, there will
be an attempt to obtain them prior to the start of any programmed cycle. When this data is not available
after three attempts to retrieve it, the netAQUA will calculate cycle duration without considering these
stimuli. An alarm is provided in the Browser Interface indicating that the most recent completed cycle did
not include the internet temperature and humidity information, only if this feature is enabled. The start of
the next programmed cycle will reset this alarm.
3.16. Browser Interface/LCD Differences
Functionality provided through the LCD interface is a subset of that provided in the Browser Interface.
Table 2 provides a summary of which features are included in the Browser Interface only, or in both
interfaces.
