3.9.1.1. LCD Wakeup
will open Help pages if there is a flashing “?”.
The LCD can be set in the Browser Interface under System Settings>LCD Display for continuous
operation or intermittent operation for power saving. If continuous operation of the LCD and backlight is
disabled in the Browser Interface, the LCD is enabled for 2 minutes when any of the pushbuttons is
momentarily pressed. If at any time prior to the end of the 2 minute period any of the buttons is pressed,
the LCD and backlight continues to operate for 2 minutes. If the LCD is off and you press a button, the
first press simply activates the LCD and the second press will cause the button to provide its programmed
function.
3.9.2. Basic Programming Operation
The start of programming is possible on any of the Watering Cycle or Manual Watering Operation pages.
Programming mode is entered when the PROG pushbutton switch is pressed for at least two seconds
(hold). At all times when the programming mode is in effect, the letter “P” flashes in the lower right corner
of the screen.
When the programming mode is entered, the first programmable field is highlighted. When the SCROLL
DOWN or SCROLL UP button is pressed, the highlight advances to the next programmable field. When
the last (or first) programmable field is reached in the given direction (down or up) on the current screen,
the first (or last) programmable field is highlighted.
When the PROG pushbutton is pressed while a programmable field is highlighted, that programmable
field begins to flash. While the field is flashing, successive presses of the SCROLL DOWN or SCROLL
UP buttons cycles through the possible values. When the ENTER pushbutton is held, the currently
selected value becomes stored for that programmable field, and that programmable field stops flashing
and becomes only highlighted.
3.9.2.1. Special Case Global Watering Enable/Disable
A special case for user programming exists on the Main Control page. When the LCD interface is at this
page, you can hold the ENTER pushbutton to toggle the Global Watering Enabled condition. This single
button operation is intended to make it easy for a local user to quickly override automatic programming
and shut off watering. The system can be re-enabled with this control as well.
3.9.3. Top Level LCD Pages
There are 5 top level pages that can be seen by pressing the SCROLL DOWN/UP buttons on the bottom
of the enclosure. The pages are, in the order of SCROLL DOWN presses:
Main Control Page
Watering Status
System Status
Automatic Watering Settings
Manual Watering Operation.
Pressing SCROLL UP takes you in the opposite direction between the pages so that you can go directly
from the Main Control Page to Manual Watering Operation.
3.9.3.1. Main Control Page
The first page is the Main Control page and shows the overall watering status of the netAQUA and allows
a local user to quickly override automatic watering and shut the watering off or, of course, enable the
system to run normally. The Main Control page contains the following information:
Global Watering: Enabled or Disabled
