First use
Cleaning the interior
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the
interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm wa-
ter and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical
smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.
Important! Do not use detergents or abrasive pow-
ders, as these will damage the finish.
Check that the drain hose
at the rear of the cabinet
discharges into the drip
tray.
Daily use
Temperature indicator
To assist you in controlling your appliance correctly we
have fitted a temperature indicator to your refrigerator,
placed in the coldest area.
The arrow shows the location of the coldest area of your
refrigerator.
The space directly above
the glass shelf of the fruit
and vegetable drawer is
the coldest region of the re-
frigerator compartment as
shown in the figure.
For proper storage of the
food in your refrigerator
and particularly in the cold-
est area, ensure that the temperature indicator is dis-
playing “OK”.
If “OK” is not displayed, the average temperature in the
area is too high. Adjust the temperature controller to a
colder setting. Since the “OK” display is in black, it is
difficult to see if the temperature indicator is poorly il-
luminated. Correct illumination makes it easy to read.
Each time the temperature controller is adjusted, wait
for the temperature inside the appliance to stabilise
before checking whether another adjustment is re-
quired. Only adjust the controller gradually and wait at
least 12 hours before checking and perhaps adjusting
it again.
Important! After putting fresh food into the appliance
or after opening the door repeatedly or for a long period,
it is normal for the indicator not to show “OK”; wait at
least 12 hours before readjusting the temperature
controller.
If the evaporator of the refrigeration compartment (wall
at the bottom of the appliance) has an abnormal cov-
ering of ice (appliance too full, high ambient tempera-
ture, thermostat setting to cold, frequent door opening),
gradually move the thermostat control to a warmer set-
ting until there are once more periods when the com-
pressor stops. The automatic defrosting of the refrig-
erator compartment will not work correctly unless the
compressor stops from time to time.
Movable shelves
The walls of the refrigerator
are equipped with a series
of runners so that the
shelves can be positioned
as desired.
Some shelves must be lif-
ted up by the rear edge to
enable them to be re-
moved.
Important! Do not move the glass shelf above the
vegetable drawer to ensure correct air circulation.
Vegetable Drawer
The drawer is suitable for storing fruit and vegetables.
Some models have a separator inside the drawer that
can be placed in different positions to allow for the sub-
division best suited to personal needs.
