Appendix C- Recognized Abbreviations for Keyboard Keys
Keystrokes can be indicated in the Keyboard Control Screen (accessed from the Controls button and menu on
the VNC Viewer Toolbar) and the Host Configuration Screen. Abbreviations recognized by the unit must be
used to indicate keystrokes. All the keys on a standard keyboard can be specified through these abbreviations.
They are not case-sensitive.
Standard keys:
All standard characters for alphanumeric and punctuation keys whose ASCII values are in the range 32 to 126
are recognized, with the exception of + , - and * . These characters have special meanings as described in
Table 1. They are denoted as indicated under Operand Keys.
Command keys:
Backspace | Tab | Return | Enter | Ctrl | Alt | Win | Shift | LShift | RShift LCtrl | RCtrl | LAlt | AltGr | RAlt | LWin |
RWin | Menu | Escape | Space | CapsLock | NumLock | PrintScreen | Scrolllock
Operand keys:
Add (Plus) | Subtract (Minus) | Multiply
Numeric Keypad keys:
KP_Insert | KP_Delete | KP_Home | KP_End | KP_PageUp | KP_PageDown | KP_Up | KP_Down | KP_Left |

Command, Operand, and Numeric Keypad abbreviations can shortened, as long as the key indicated is clear.
For example, PrintScreen can be signified by Pr. However, KP_PageUp can only be shortened to KP_PageU
since KP_P or KP_Page could be either KP_PageUp or KP_PageDown.
