Motorized magstripe encoder
The three-track motorized magstripe
encoder is multi-connectivity enabled,
allowing it to manually or remotely
encode keycards for check-in. Properties
may share motorized encoders on a
single network using a TCP/IP connec-
tion, or connect the encoder directly to
a PC using a serial or USB connection.
For optimum precision, the motorized
magstripe encoder is gear-driven and
uses springloaded rubber transport
wheels, allowing it to adjust to varying
keycard thicknesses.
Motorized smart encoder
The motorized smart encoder looks and
operates much like a motorized magstri-
pe encoder and can encode any combi-
nation of smart, magstripe, or memory
keycards. Keycards that are not properly
encoded or eycards with detected errors
are ejected from the back of the enco-
der. This helps to ensure the quality of
the keycard that is encoded.
