Perimeter Access
To maximize perimeter security, all key-
cards can be programmed to provide pe-
rimeter access only to those employees
and guests with valid keycards. SAFLOK
even has an optional version that works
with exit-device hardware for perimeter
door areas.
· Facility Access and Latch/Unlatch
Capabilities:
Keycards can be programmed to allow
fully customized access to up to 12
specic areas. Areas can be automati-
cally assigned or individually selected
when keycard is encoded. Locks can be
programmed to automatically unlock
and re-lock at specic times, allowing
passage during select times without the
use of a keycard.
· Elevator Readers:
Readers can be installed in each elevator,
allowing/prohibiting access on certain
oors. Multi-channel readers allow indivi-
dual control of up to 12 different oors
or groups of oors with one reader.
· Quantum RFID RCU/ECU:
For properties that have installed the
Quantum RFID lock, the Quantum RFID
RCU is recommended for use in peri-
meter areas. The Quantum RFID RCU
is a versatile stand-alone card reader
controller that uses Mifare contactless
smart card technology to contact-less
smart card technology to work with
all electried access control devices
for perimeter doors, concierge oors,
common areas, and other secured areas
with electried hardware. Some features
include:

smart card reader protects against
climate extremes

ger transceiver for centralized access
control
