6.2 – How to Drain the Unit
In most cases, the AC unit will not require draining. In the event that draining is necessary, the
unit will sound an alarm and the display’s “Full“ light will turn on to indicate the water reservoir
inside is full.
• PleasemakesureyourACunitiscompletelypoweredobefore
performing any type of maintenance.
• Ifrelocatingtheunitbeforedraining,moveitcarefullysoasnot
to spill the water inside the reservoir.
• Makesurethedrainagepipehasadequatespaceunderneath
for draining. If using the lower drainage opening, ensure there
isasuitableareaforwaterruno.Ifusingtheupperdrainage
opening,fetchacontainerforwaterrunobeforeconnectingthe
pipe.
• Keepthedrainagecoverandthewaterplugonatalltimeswhen
not draining the unit.
• Whendrainingtheunit,donotallowthepowercordtocomein
contact with water.
• Duringdrainage,theunitmaybetiltedslightbackwardsto
promote faster drainage.
• Keepinmindtheunitmayholdmorewaterthanexpected.Ifusingacontainer,donotuseasmalloneoreithertakecareof
drainage outdoors.
Using the Upper & Lower Drainage Openings
Remove the pre-installed caps and covers as needed. The covers will be used for draining.
