Rockland Tintype
Rockland Colloid’s Tintype Parlor is an authentic
re-creation of last century's tintype process, a
form of "instant" photography that was popular
in the nineteeth century. Rockland Colloid's
Tintypes are sensitized metal plates that are thin
enough to be cut with scissors to fit inside any
camera. In addition to tintypes, the Tintype Parlor
can also make Ambrotypes, a version of tintypes
that is printed on a glass plate. Developer and
fixer are included in the kit.

Ag-Plus photographic emulsion is a premium
gelatine-silver emulsion, with higher sensitivity,
which is a convenience if the emulsion is used in
a camera instead of film, as is the case with tin-
types, ambrotypes, etc. It also helps when over-
size prints are made at a considerable distance
from the enlarger. Like Liquid Light, Ag-Plus pho-
tographic emulsion is completely free of phenol
fumes and safe to use in any darkroom.
