4-5 [Select] menu
[Select] - [Select Area With Rectangle] command
This selects polygons by using a rectangle.
The rectangle is created by the placing the mouse pointer at the desired start point (the corner of the rectangle),
then dragging. This selected area is shown in red.
To select more than one area, drag the object while holding down the [Shift] key. At this time, you cannot zoom in
or out by dragging an object while holding down the [Shift] key.
To cancel the selection, click the right button.
Toolbar button:
[Select] - [Select Area With Ellipse] command
This selects polygons by using an ellipse.
The ellipse is created by the placing the mouse pointer at the desired start point (the corner of a quadrilateral
circumscribed by the ellipse or circle), then dragging. This selected area is shown in red.
To select more than one area, drag the object while holding down the [Shift] key. At this time, you cannot zoom in
or out by dragging an object while holding down the [Shift] key.
To cancel the selection, click the right button.
Toolbar button:
[Select] - [Select Area With Polygon] command
This selects polygons by using a multi-sided shape.
The point clicked first becomes the polygon's start point. The polygon's apices are then created by clicking at the
desired point for each. The end point for the polygon is set by double-clicking.
To select more than one area, drag the object while holding down the [Shift] key. At this time, you cannot zoom in
or out by dragging an object while holding down the [Shift] key.
To cancel the selection, click the right button.
