Part 5 Many Kinds of Printing and Settings
Back print
This reverses the sequence of the ink-ribbon cartridges used when printing. For example, when [Select Ink Cartridge(s)] is set to
YMCK, this uses ink-ribbon cartridges in KCMY order.
You also use this at times such as when you're printing on transparent media and want to view the printed results from the side
opposite to the printed surface.
When you select the [Back print] check box, then on the [Media/Cuttings] page, under [Orientation], [Flip Horizontal] is also
automatically selected.
Also, when you clear the [Back print] check box, then on the [Media/Cuttings] page, under [Orientation], [Flip Horizontal] is
automatically cleared as well.
When you select [Flip Holizontal] and perform printing on transparent media, the orientation of the printed image when viewed
from the side opposite the printed surface is the same as the original data.
[Output Data] [Printing & Cutting] [Printing]
[Document Type] [Automatic] [Photographs] [Graphics/Text] [Grayscale]
[Media Type] [Media for Resin]
[Print Mode] [Standard Color]
[Back print] is selected.
[Print Using] [Standard Color] [Full Color & Spot Colors]
[Select Ink Cartridge(s)] Resin-use ink-ribbon cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) are required.
When you use [Print Using] to select [Single Color] or [Full Color & Spot Colors], resin-use ink-
ribbon cartridges for the selected colors are required. When [Back print] is selected, however, you
cannot use special colors (gold or silver).
Single-color Printing
This performs printing using only the selected single color of ink-ribbon cartridge.
When a process color (cyan, magenta, yellow, or black) or any one of the special colors (red, blue, white, gold, or silver) is
selected, grayscale printing is performed.
[Output Data] [Printing & Cutting] [Printing]
[Document Type] [Automatic] [Photographs] [Graphics/Text] [Grayscale]
[Media Type] [Media for Resin]
[Print Mode] [Standard Color]
[Print Using] [Single Color]
[Select Ink Cartridge(s)] Select the single color you want to print.
A resin-use ink-ribbon cartridge of the selected color is required.
Full Color & Spot Colors
Full-color and special-color printing are performed at the same time.
Special-color printing requires an ink-ribbon cartridge (special color) of the same color composition as the special color you want
to print.
Specify the color composition as an RGB value.
The RGB compositions (default values) of the ink-ribbon cartridges (special colors) are as follows.
RGB
Red 255 0 0
Blue 0 0 255
White 254 254 254
Gold 128 128 0
Silver 192 192 192
Use the values from this chart in the printing data to specify the color of the special color you want to print.
For information on how to specify color compositions in printing data, check the documentation for the program you're using to
create the data.
