Specifying the Cutting Line

Specify the RGB value for the color of the line that is to be
the cutting line. Be sure to specify a color that is not used
elsewhere.
Make a note of the RGB value you specify, because you
will need it later when performing output.

Draw the line that is to be the cutting line. If it is already
drawn, then select it.
Use RGB for the Color
When data is output to the PC-12, color information is sent as RGB values. Be sure to specify an RGB value to
ensure correct recognition as the cutting line color.
For Other Programs
With Illustrator, you set the printing size for the PC-12 by going to the [File] menu and choosing [Document Setup],
but depending on the program, the name of the command on the [File] menu may be different.
The names of the corresponding commands are [Print Setup], [Page Settings], [Page Setup], and so on. Make the
selection according to the program you're using. In any case, the dialog box that appears has a [Properties] button, so
click this button to make the settings.
Use Illustrator 8.0 to specify the line that is to be cutting line.
For the cutting line, specify any RGB color other than black (RGB value of 0, 0, 0).
When the RGB value is set equal to 0, 0, 0, then depending on the program, it may not be correctly recognized as a
cutting-line color.

The artboard size in Illustrator becomes the same size as the
printing size for the PC-12.
Create and edit the object so that it fits inside the artboard.

The [Document Setup] dialog box reappears.
Click [Use Print Setup] to select it. This selects the check
box.
