4. Maintenance
Spindle Run-in (Warm-up)
Spindle run-in (warm-up) may be required to stabilize the rotation of the spindle.
Situations Requiring This Work
 When installing the machine
 When replacing the spindle unit
 When the machine has not been used for a prolonged period
 Before use on days when the ambient temperature is low
Procedure
A
Close the front cover and the dust box cover.

Switch on the power.

Display VPanel.

Click , the [Maintenance] tab, and then click [Spindle...].
The VPanel "Spindle maintenance" dialog box appears.

Click [Start] next to "Run-in."

When the window shown in the following gure appears, click [OK].
Run-in will begin. (It takes approximately 40 minutes.)

When the window shown in the following gure appears, click [OK].
