Preparing the Machine for Use

Installation Procedure

You can install the driver, software, and electronic-format manual all at once. You can also install the driver

and each piece of software separately.

Important

• Be sure to connect the machine to the computer as instructed in the procedure.

Failure to follow the correct procedure may make installation impossible.

• If an old version of SRP Player is installed, uninstall it, and then install a new version.

Procedure

Before installation, conrm that the machine and the computer are not connected with

the USB cable.

Log on to Windows as the computer's administrator (or as an "Administrators" account).

Insert the Roland DG Software Package CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.

When the automatic playback window appears, click [Run menu.exe]. If a "User Account Control"

window appears, click [Allow] or [Yes], and then continue with the installation. The setup menu

screen appears automatically.

Click [Install].

Install the MDX-50 driver and the various software programs all at once. Follow the on-screen in-

structions to proceed with the installation.

If the following screen appears during installation

Click [Install].
