2 Basic Operation

Be sure to mount the drain bottle before turning on the power.

2-2 Powerup

When you're using the machine for the first time, turn on

the main power switch on the side of the unit.

* Leave the main power switch on, and in daily use, use

the sub power switch to turn the power on and off.

Press the [POWER] key (the sub power switch) on the

operation panel.

The POWER LED lights up

Switch to "I"

Select the installed ink type and

press the [ENTER] key.

Attach the drain bottle and press the

[ENTER] key.

Ink-filling is performed.

This operation takes several minutes.

No ink is filled.

Make the setting for the initial

head-height position.

Refer to "4-2 Adjusting the

Height of the Printing Head" and

move the lever to the "2 (High)"

position.

position.
