Chapter 2 Operation
5. Pull out the media.

 Go to the front of the printer.


 While holding down the media by hand to
keep it from slipping out of place, flip the load-
ing lever to the rear.


 Slowly pull the media out straight until it
reaches the area below the blower fan.
While being careful to ensure that the media is free of
slackness or wrinkling, pull it out straight and posi-
tioned evenly on the left and right.
Never hold the media by its leading edge or by its left
or right edge when pulling it out.

Grasp the leading edge of the media at the cen-
ter and slowly pull out the media straight until it
reaches a position about even with the paper
pipe.
After pulling out the media, align the left and
right edges with the guide marks on the paper
pipe while holding the media stretched taut to
keep it from wrinkling.

Pull back the loading lever to keep the media
from slipping out of position.
Align with the
guide marks.
