Datasheet
The FastLog functionality follows voltage/current variations with a resolution of up to 2μs.
It detects spikes that would be overseen by slower instruments.

Rohde & Schwarz R&S®NGM200 Power Supply Series 7
High-speed acquisition (FastLog functionality)
The R&S®NGM200 power supplies offer the high-speed
FastLog functionality to capture voltage and current mea-
surement results. This data can be stored on an external
USB storage device or can be transferred to an external
PC via USB or LAN. With an acquisition rate of up to
500ksample/s, voltage and current results are available
every 2μs. Using the two-channel R&S®NGM202, the data
acquisition can run on both channels in parallel.
With this high-speed acquisition, even spikes in the micro-
second range, which cannot be detected with slower
instruments, can be detected in min./max. values.
Variable output impedance
A power supply should have an output impedance as low
as possible to suppress loading effects on the DUT. How-
ever, there are applications where certain battery types
need to be simulated in a controlled manner or where it is
necessary to simulate the increase in internal impedance
as the battery discharges. The R&S®NGM200 power sup-
plies support these applications due to their adjustable
output impedance range.
Various parameters can be set at the outputs of the R&S®NGM200 power
supplies, for example the output impedance, a delay to switch on the
outputs and different trigger modes.
The high-speed FastLog functionality provides an acquisition rate up to
500ksample/s.
