3.5.3.5 Compression Control
3.5.3.5.1 Data Compression - +DS
+DS - Data Compression
AT+DS=[<dir>[,<ne
g>[,<P1>[,<P2>]]]]
Set command sets the V42 compression parameter.
Parameter:
<dir>. : desired direction of operations
0 - no compression, it is currently the only supported value
1 - Transmit only.
2 - Receive only.
3 - Both directions, accept any direction.
Default is 3.
<neg> : whether the DCE should continue to operate if the desired result is
not obtained.
0 Do not disconnect if V.42 bis is not negotiated by the remote DCE as
specified in <direction>.
<P1> : maximum number of dictionary entries
512-2048
Default is decided by manufacture
<P2) : the maximum string length
Default is 6
AT+DS? Read command returns current value of the data compression parameter.
AT+DS=? Test command returns all supported values of the parameter <n>

3.5.3.5.2 Data Compression Reporting - +DR
+DR - Data Compression Reporting
AT+DR=<n> Set command enables/disables the data compression reporting upon
connection.
Parameter:
<n>
0 - data compression reporting disabled;
1 - data compression reporting enabled upon connection.
Note: if enabled, the following intermediate result code is transmitted before
the final result code:
+DR: <compression>
(the only supported value for <compression> is “NONE”)
AT+DR? Read command returns current value of <n>.
AT+DR=? Test command returns all supported values of the parameter <n>
