Using WebPak 3000 ControlNet Communications Option Board I/O With a ControlLogix Processor

Required Equipment and Software Versions
Table 2 lists the equipment and software versions required to set up communications between a ControlLogix
processor and a WebPak 3000 drive.
If the firmware in your ControlLogix equipment does not meet the above requirements, contact the Control and
Information Group technical support division (1-440-646-6800) to obtain a copy of the appropriate
ControlFlash upgrade kit.
Configuring an I/O Connection
Before configuring an I/O connection, you must:
• Configure the WebPak 3000 drive network parameters (refer to chapter 3 in D2-3425-2), set the network
drop number appropriately, and set the control source to network.
• Verify that you have used RSNetWorx for ControlNet to configure the network containing the ControlLogix
chassis and WebPak 3000 drive.
Use the following procedure to configure an I/O connection:
Step 1. After opening the RSLogix 5000 software, verify that you are off-line with the ControlLogix processor.
You can configure an I/O connection when starting a new project or after opening an existing project,
but I/O can only be configured off-line.
