Chapter 1 Program and Test a Simple Project
Create a Project for the Controller
1. Start RSLogix 5000 software.
2. Click New.
3. Specify the general configuration for the controller.
Specify these items (some items apply to only certain controllers):
• Type of controller.
• Major revision of firmware for the controller.
• Name for the controller.
• Chassis type for the controller.
• Slot number of the controller.
• The path where the project will be stored.
4. Click OK.
