Groups Description and privileges
FTHAdministrators It represents Historian server administrators and has
read-and-write access to all Historian server resources and default
points, except the following database tables:
• PIDS
• PIHeadingSets
• PIPOINT
You can or cannot do the following with the FTHAdministrators
group:
• You can:
•
Map it to the AD group that represents your Historian server
system administrators.
•
Adjust its access permissions to meet your needs.
•
Fully disable it.
• You cannot:
•
Delete it.
FTHEngineers A preconfigured group with the following privileges:
• Create, modify, and delete point definitions.
• Read and write access to the following database tables:
•
PIDS
•
PIHeadingSets
•
PIPOINT
FTHOperators A preconfigured group with the following privileges:
• Read any point definition.
• Read any point’s historical data set.
FTHSupervisors A preconfigured group with the following privileges:
• Read any point definition.
• Read any point’s historical data set.
When the users belonging to the FTHSupervisors group create
points in the FactoryTalk Administration Console, they get the
following privileges to these points:
• Add new point data to any point’s historical data set.
• Add, modify, and delete point data.
