Installing the FactoryTalk AssetCentre

To upgrade an RSMACC system to FactoryTalk AssetCentre, follow the instructions in

Before you begin, check and install FactoryTalk Services

Platform and FactoryTalk View patches

If you are installing on a computer that already has FactoryTalk Services Platform 2.10.00

or later, or FactoryTalk View 5.00 or later, you may need to manually install the patches.

You may have more recent patches than those included on the FactoryTalk AssetCentre

disc at the time of release. It is very important to check and install the patches before you

begin the FactoryTalk AssetCentre installation.

To install the patches:

IMPORTANT: If you are using a firewall (such as the Windows Firewall), you must manually

permit File and Printer Sharing through your firewall. Consult the documentation for your

firewall software for instructions. You must also open Port 80 (or whatever port is used for HTTP).

If the computer already has Then install patches by following instructions in

FactoryTalk Services Platform 2.10.00 or

later
