Message Description
SERVOPROCESSOR OVERLAP The analogversionoftheservosub-systemprovidesfine iteration overlap detection. T his
message isdisplayedifthe fine iteration softwareon the DSP doesnotexecute to completion in
one fineiteration.
SERVOPROM CHECKSUM ERROR The checksum testo n the servo p rocessorsoftware storedin PROMmemoryhas failed. This
testis performed onpower-upand periodicallywhile the systemis running. Contact
Allen-Bradley customersupportservices.
SERVOPTO DIAGNOSTICS FAIL The servo card hasfailed its power-updiagnostics. ConsultAllen-Bradley customer support
services.
SERVOPTO SEQUENCE ERROR The servocardhas faileditspower-up diagnostics. ConsultAllen-Bradleycustomersupport
services.
SERVOTIME-OUT READING ABSOLUTE ENCODER Duringpower-up initializationoftheposition registersor duringa homing operation,the servo
processorhas failed toreturn a readwithin the requiredtime afterthe absolute position has
been requested bythemainprocessor. ConsultAllen-Bradleycustomersupportservices.
SERVOTIME-OUT READING FEEDBACK Duringa homing operation,ifthereisan errorreadingfeedback fromthe servo module,this
messageappears. T his usuallyoccurswhen the system scan time isclose to the thresholdat
whichPAL executioncan just complete andwhen homing morethan3 axesata time. This
errorcan be avoided by homing axes in dividually orincreas ing the systemscan time in AMP.
SET ZERONOT ALLOWED ON: A setzerooperation onthespecified axis isnotpermitted. Typicallythisisbecauseeitherthe
controlis not in manual mode,or the selectedaxisisin the process of being jogged.
SHAFT V ALUE> NUMBER OF POCKETS An attemptwasmadetoassigna shaftpocketthatis greaterthan the number of pockets
assignedforthatcustomtool. The shaftpocketnumber mustbe avaluebetween1 andthe
numberofpocketsassignedtothattool.
SHARED AXISCONFIGURATION ERROR Eitherthere are toomanyshared axesconfigured,a shared axis hasthe same nameas some
otheraxis in the system, the diameteraxes on alathe areshared axes,orsome other
miscellaneousconfiguration erroroccurred.
SHARED AXISNOT IN PROCESS Youhave attemptedtoposition asharedaxis(orrecouple ashareddual axis)notcurrently
available to the requestingprocess. Asharedaxiscan onlybe positionedbytheprocess
currently controlling the shared axis.
SHARED SPINDLE CONTENTION Thisisa run-time decode error. Aprocessattempted to activate an exclusive-usespindlemode
orchange the spindle speedwhen anotherprocesswas usingit. The processgoes into cycle
stop.
SHIFT AWAY FROMENDPOINT Whena cylindricalgrindercycle(G84or G85) is programmed with a shiftand plunge,andthe
shiftincrement does notmovetowards the cycleendpoint, thismessageis generated. The shift
incrementmustmovetowards the cycle endpoint.
SHIFT VALUE HASTOO MANY DIGITS You have used incorrectsearchstringsyntax inthe PAL searchmonitorutility.
SKIPPINGSOURCE NOT INCL UDED MODULE(S) When you downloadedyourPALprogram thesourcecode forsomemoduleswasnotincluded.
The ODSsoftware can decidetonotincludethesource on selectedmodules whenitdetermines
theiris notsufficientmemoryon the controltoholdboththePALimageand the source code.
