Message Description
PAL SOURCE REV. MISMATCH -- CAN’TMONITOR PAL sourcecode inthecontroldoes notmatchtherevision ofthe CNC executive. The PAL
code may execute ifall ofthe PAL systemflagsexistbutthe monitorcannotbeused.
PAL USING MEMORY -REFORMAT T he AMP parameterallowingPALtobe storedin RAMmemoryhas beenenabled. This
changestheamountofRAMmemory available forpartprogramstorage,requiringtheRAMdisk
to be reformatted. Partprograms should havebeen backedup priortothis.
PARAMETER ASSIGNMENT SYNT AXERROR Ablock thatassigns Paramacro parameters has been entered incorrectly.
PARAMETER NUMBER NOT FOUND T he AMP parameternumberbeing searchedforthroughthecontrol’s patch AMP utility does not
existin th e system.
PARAMETER VALUE OUT OF RANGE Thevalue enteredforthe selectedAMPparameterorparamacro parameterislessthan or
greaterthantheallowedlegalvalue.
PARENTHESIS INPUT ERROR Parentheseshave been entered incorrectlyin a programblockor calculation operation. Correct
the useoftheparenthesis;verifytheyareinmatched pairs.
PARITY ERRORINPROGRAM A serialcommunicationserrorhas occurred. Adataparity erroroccurredwhilesending or
receiving data. Thiscanresultin a corrupted file,orthe entiredatetransferoperationmaybe
aborted bythe control.
PARKAXIS MOTIONNOT ALLOWED Axismotion wasprogrammed fora parked axisina dualaxisgroup. When both masterand
slaveaxesare parked,noaxis motion isallowedon aparkedaxisin adual group.
PART PROGRAM NOT SELECTED Anattemptwasmade toexecute aprogram orcheck aprogrambeforea programwasselected
forexecution.
PART ROTATION FORMAT ERROR Inpartrotationblocks(G68,G69),only planechangesand mode changesincludinginch/metric
and absolute/incrementalarepermitted. Any commandsotherthan normalmotion commands
and the motion G-codes (G00,G01,G02,and G03)are notpermitted.
PASSWORD PROTECTED When assigning password protectablefeaturestoan access level, an attemptwas made to
assigna feature to adifferentaccesslevelwhen the currentlyactive password doesnothave
accesstothe feature. Youcan assign features to other access levels only whenyou have
accesstothatfeature yourself.
PEAK CURRENT NOT 300% T he axisfora1394 or9/440 isnotAMPed tohave the PEAKCURRENT set to 300%. This
misconfiguration forcesthecontrol into E--Stop.
PERIPHERAL DEVICE ERROR Anillegalcommunication attemptwas made witha peripheraldevice,forexample,attempting to
output
to a tape readerorinputfroma tape punch.
PLANE SELECT ERROR Anattemptwasmadeto changeplanes during cutter compensation (T T RC),between QPP
blocks,orbetween chamferand corner rounding blocks. This erroralsowilloccurifG17 orG19
planesareselected on a lathe.

PLUNGEMOTIONNOT ALLOWED The final plunge position mustb e differentfromthe startpointofthe cycle. This message can
occurifthe plungeaxisisnotprogrammedin the entry blocktoG89 mode,orifthe plungeaxis
incrementis zero,orifthefinal plungeaxis positionis the same asthestartpointofthecycle
blockduringG89 mode.
PLUNGE MOTION NOT PROGRAMMED Inyour pocket cycle youhave eithernotprogrammeda final depth,orthe final depth youhave
programmed isequal to the depth ofthe cutting tool atthe starting pointofthe cycle. The
location ofthe cuttingtoolwhen the pocketcycle isprogrammedmustbe at a differentdepth
than the final programmed depth ofthe cycle.
PLUNGE NOT ALLOWED A plunge thatwill cut intothepocketwall was requested in aG89 irregularpocketcycle.
PLUNGE STEPS MIS--PROGRAMMED T he rough,medium,andfine-feed depths inthecycle blockarenotprogrammedcorre ctly. This
ispossibleifthe data intheblockis incorrect or ifthedatain the modal values ofthe parameter
notprogrammed intheblockareincorrect.
POCKET END NOT SAME ASSTART Apocketend-pointthatisnotthe same asthepocketstart-pointwasprogrammedina G89
irregularpocketcycle.
