Message Description
BAD RAMDISC SECTOR CHECKSUM ERROR A RAM disksectorerrorwas detected during the RAMchecksumtestatpower-up. Attemptto
power-up again. If theerrorremains,contactAllen-Bradleycustomersupportservices.
BAD RECORD INPROGRAM This indicatesaseriousproblemwiththeprogram. Attemptto opentheprogram a secondtime.
If retry doesn’twork,youmayhavetodeletetheprogram. Typicallythis errorisnotcaused bya
programmer or operatoraction. Itistypicallycaused by aninternal software errorinthe
program.
BAD STATE/TOKEN COMBINATION (PROGRAM
ERROR)
Whileattemptingtodecode the currentblock,a combinationofcharacters causeda decode
errortooccur. Checkthe characters inthecurrentblockforanillegalcombination.
BATTERY FAILURE The batterythatprovides backup ofthe RAM memory isnotfunctioning;thevoltage maybe low.
The battery may bedead,removed,orpoorlyconnected.
BLK DELETE CHG IGNOREDON PREPARED BLKS A block-delete was activated whilea programwasexecuting. Thischangeis ignored bythe
controlforblocks thathave already beenreadintothe control’sset-up buffer(see block
look-ahead inuser’s manual).
BLOCK LENGTH ERROR Ablockthatexceeds the allowable maximumblock length wasprogrammed.
BLOCK RETRACE ABORTED The block retrace operationbeingperformedhas been canceled. When <CYCLESTART> is
pressed,thecontrol will return the tool along a linearpathback tothestart-pointoftheblock
retraceoperation.
BOOT DIRECTORYISMISSING The updateutility failed to properly create the systembootdirectory. Retrytheupdate. Ifthe
erroroccursagain,contactyourlocalAllen Bradley service.
BOOTSTRAP FAILED TO STAR T The bootstrap codedid notsendthe “ok”signaltothe main processorwithin the specifiedtime.
BOTH AXESIN QPPPLANE NOT PRGMD The secondblockofa currently executingQuickPath Plus two-block setdoes notcontainboth
required axis words inthe currentplane. Bothaxiswordsarerequired to correctlyidentifythe
end-pointofthesecond move.
BOTH LINES AREPARALLEL Bothblocksofa two-block QPP sequence are parallel,and no mathematicalintersection canbe
computed.
BOTH PORTS ARE BUSY Anattemptwasmadetouse or monitorcommunicationports AorBwhen neitherwere

CANNOT ACTIVATE -OPENPROGRAM An attemptwasmadetoactivatea programforexecutionwhen itwas stillopen foran editing
operation. Before itcan be activated forautomatic execution,itisnecessary to press the {EXIT
EDITOR}softkey fromthe editmenu to closea programbeingedited.
CANNOT ACTIVATE RAMPARTITION The RAMdiskhas beencorrupted. Attempttoperforma “REFORMAT ”operation. Ifthisis
unsuccessful,consultAllen-Bradleycustomersupportservices.
CANNOT ASSIGNIN CURRENT MODE Anattemptwasmadeto modifya paramacroparameterthatcannotbe modified whenthecutter
compensationorTTRC feature isactive.
CANNOT CALCULATE -PROMPT PRESENT Anattemptto perform a calculate operation wasmadewhen some otherpromptwas presenton
line2 ofthe CRT. Beforethe controlwillallowa calculationtobe made,itisnecessary to
remove anypromptsfromline2 .
