Message Description
AXISINVALID FOR G24/G25 The programmed axiswasnotAMPed forsoftwarevelocity loop operation, andcan notbeused
ina G24or G25 block. To usethesefeaturesthe axisprogrammed must be configuredfor
tachless operation (orbea digitalservo).
AXISIS HARD STOPPED,CANT ADJUST SERVO The torquelimitoftheservo cannotbe adjusted because, eitherthe axis isina hard-- stopped
state, orsome other axis onthesameservo card isin a hard -- stoppedstate.
AXISMODULE POWER FAULT The currentthrough thepoweroutputtransistors ismonitored. Ifthe currentexceeds afixed
level(greaterthan 300%ofcontrollerrating)thisfaultwill appear. Typicalcauses are ashorted
lead,motormalfunction,ormalfunctioning power IGBTs.
AXIS MODULEOVER CURRENT One ofthe axis modules ofyour1394drive hasbeen requestedtoprovidetoomuchcurrent.
Thisis typically causedby Accel/Decelcommand fromtheCNCisrequiring peakcurrentforan
excessive amountoftime,themachinefriction orinertial/viscous loadisexcessive,the motor
hasbeen improperly sized, a short circuit existsacross the drive outputterminals, logicsupply
circuitshavemalfunctioned,or AC inputis incorrectlywired.
AXISMODULEBUSSVOLTAGELOSS T he DCbus supply waslostto the axis module. Checksliderconnections/terminationstrip or
there could bea blownlinkfuse.
AXISMODULE OVER TEMP The 1394 containsa thermal sensorwhich sensesthe internalambienttemperature. Causes
couldbe:thatthe cabinet ambienttemperatureisabove rating. T he machinedutycycle
requires an RMS currentexceeding the continuous rating ofthe controller. The airflowaccessto
the 1394 is limited orblocked. This does notnecessarilyindicate amotorovertemperature.
Motorovertemperturesensorsshouldbe wired directly into the E-Stop string.
AXISMOVER CONF LICTWITHG16.3/G16.4 You haverequested aPALaxismoverfunctionon anangled wheel grinder. Youcan notusethe
PAL axis moverin oneoftheangled wheel modes unlessthe PAL axis moverhas controlof
both the axialand the wheelaxes.
AXISNAME DUPLICATE Two ormore axes havebeen assigned the same nameinAMP.
AXISNOT INPROCESS Youattempted to read/writea paramacroparameterforan axisthatis notcurrentlyin the
process requestingthedata. To access paramacroparameterdata foran axis, thataxismust
be in the process making the request.
AXIS POSITIONINCORRECT Using the mid-startprogramfunction,youhave searched to ablockthatdoesnotcreatethe
programmed contourifstartedfromyourcurrentaxisposition. Beawarethemid-startoperation
mayhavesearchedthru aoffsetoperation thatis notreadilyapparentto determine youraxis
position. Themid-startoperation is aborted. You mustre-performthemid-startoperation and
eitherposition the axestothecorrectaxisposition,oruse the {MOVE&EXIT}softkeytofindthe
correctaxisposition.
AXISSELECT NOT ALLOWED The {AXIS SELECT}softkey waspressed whenno axisselectoptionis available. Axis selectis
onlyavailable on largescreensand normalcharacter size screen for systemsthatcontain more
then9 axestotalor dual processsystems withmorethan8 axesin a process. Itisnotavailable
when thesmall scre en (showing all system AMPed axes)is being viewed.
AXISTYPE-POSITION LOOP ERROR In patch AMP,an axis was assigneda positionlooptypethatis illegal fortheaxis typeassigned
to that axis.

BACKUP VERSION OF AMPWAS COPIED TORAM The AMPin RAMwas erased (batterybackup failed)orcorrupted,so the controlautomatically
copiedtheversion ofAMP in backupmemoryintoRAMmemory. (The controlstores AMPin
backup,butworksfrom the copyofAMPin RAM memory.)
BADDAC MONITOR PATCH AMP ENTRY An invalid valuewas enteredinto patch AMPparameter#86 or#87. Eitherparameterallows
the axestobe monitored throughtheservomodule(DAC)analog output. Seedocumentation
provided byAllen-Bradley onpatchAMP,orcontactAllen-Bradley customersupportservice.
BAD FIRST POCKET BLOCK When performing an irregularpocketcycle, the firstpocketblockshould beaway fromthe
pocketstart/endcorner,nottowardit. The move to the start/endcorneris generated based on
the coordinatesprogrammedinthe pocketdefinition block itself.
BAD PAL PROM One ofthe PALPROMchips(pluggedinto the main processorboard)hasfailedorisnot
pluggedin properly.
