Error and System Messages
This appendix serves as a guide to error and system messages that can
occur during programming and operation of the 9/Series control. We listed
the messages i n alphabetical order along with a brief description.
Important: To display both active a nd inactive messages, press the
{ERROR MESAGE} softkey found on softkey level 1. For details, see
chapter 2.
Important: This appendix covers only error and system messages.
PAL-generated operator messages generally appear on lines 21 and 22 of
the CRT and should be described in documentation prepared by the
machine tool builder.

1394 AXIS MODULEMISMATCH Atpowerturn onthesystemidentified an axismodule inthe1394 rackthatis misconfigured in
AMP. Ifanextra axis module ispresent in the 1394rackitshouldeither befully configuredor
notconfiguredatallin AMPeven ifthataxismoduleisnotused ordetached.
1394 RINGCOMMUNICATIONSERROR Atpoweruptheinternal communicationsringwhich runs throughthefrontofthe1394 system
and drivemoduleswaseithernotconnected,adevice on the ring experienced ahardware
failure,oradeviceon the ring wasdiscovered to bemisconfigured oncea command was sentto
the device. Makesureallaxismodulesand the endterminatorareproperly connected to
completethecommunication ring.
