Feature Considerations
Thisfeature: Used with G26 adap tive depth:
Virtual C Spindle
CylindricalInterpolation
Corner Radius andChamferProgramming
AllFixedCycles(except sometransferlineonly
cycles)
QuickPathPlusprogramblocks
Is incompatible with the adaptivedepthprobe. An erroris
generated if one ofthese features isactive oractivated
whena G26block is executing.
Cuttercompensation
Part Rotation
Is incompatible with the adaptivedepthprobe only when
the G26 block isusedon anaxisin the currently active
plane. An errorisgenerated ifoneofthese features is
active oractivated whena G26blockis executinginthe
active plane.
Feedrate Clamping Feedrate clamping occursas in normal controloperation.
During aG26 blockan additionalfeedrate clamp occurs
that limits thefollowing errorofthe adaptive depth axis
fromexceedingtheprogrammedintegrand amount.
Scaling If you choosetouse scalingduringa G26adaptivedepth
blockkeep in mind both the programmed endpointandthe
axisintegrand word are scaled.
Block Retrace Youcan notperform a blockretraceon anyblockthatis
executed with theadaptivedepthprobefired. Additionally
youcan notcompletely retrace anyblock thatwill retrace to
a positionthat results inthe adaptive depth probe being
fired. Attempting to retrace one ofthese blocks will stop
motion once the probe firesand generatesan error.
InterruptMacros Youcan execute an interruptmacroduringa G26 block
provided either:
• thereturnmovedoes not generateanyprobe deflection
beyondthezeropoint
• theblocksintheinterruptmacroprogramdonotdeflect
the probebeyond the zeropoint.
If atleastone oftheseconstraintsisnotmet,executing the
returnmoveofan interruptmacro will generatea
unexpected probe triperror. You can notexecute aG26
blockwithin aninterruptmacro.
Block Reset/ControlReset/E-STOP Reset Performingone ofthese resetoperationswillabortany
executing G26block. Ifthe probe remainsdepressed
however,anyadditional G26blocksuse the currentprobe
position relative to the partsurface. You do notneedto
re-fire the probe. The probe remainstrippedthrough the
reset operation. ProgramminganotherG26 block uses the
currentprobedeflectiontocalculate the endpointfromthe
executing G26integrand word. Ifyourequire the adaptive
depth probetore-locate the partsurface aftera reset
operation,youmustfirst removeanyprobe deflection
before executingtheG26 block.
QuickChec k WhentheG26 blockisexecuted inQuickCheck, the
controlwillnotuse the integrand word. Axis endpoints will
appeartobe at theprogrammedaxiswordlocation. The
probedoes notneed to fireduringQuickCheck.
