Table 2.A explains the functions of keys on the operator panel keyboard.
In this manual, the names of operator panel keys appear between [ ]
symbols.

Key Functions
Key Name Function
Address andNumeric Keys Usethesekeystoenteralphabeticand numeric
characters. Ifa keyhas twocharactersprinted on it,
pressing itnormally enterstheupperleftcharacter.Holding
downthe[SHIFT] keywhilepressing itentersthelower
rightcharacter.
CursorKeys • , • ,• ,•
Usethesekeystomovethecursor left,right,up anddown
inthedatadisplayarea(lines4-21)ofthe screen. We
refertothese keysas the left,right,up,and down cursor
keys re spectively.
[SHIFT] and • or •
Press the rightorleft cursorkeyswhileholdingdown the
[SHIFT] key to move the cursorrightandlefton any
lineon which thatdatais being input. (normally screen
lines2-3).
[SHIFT] and • or •
Press the upordown cursorkeywhileholding down the
[SHIFT] key to roll the display pageforwardor
backwards.
CalculationKey[CALC] Pressing thiskeyenables acalculatortypefunctionon the
control. Basicmathematicalexpressions may beevaluated
usingthisfeature. Fordetails,see page2-4.
Delete Key[DEL] Pressing thiskeydeletesthecharacterto the leftofthe
cursor on inputlines.
[SHIFT] and [DEL] Pressingthiskeydeletesallkeyed-in data currently
displayed on inputlines.
[CAN] Clearthe mostrecently generated, activeerrormessage
TransmitKey [TRANSMIT] The data enteredand displayed ontheinputlinesissentto
the controlwhen the [TRANSMIT] keyispressed,for
example apasswordora programblock.
Block Reset[RESET] Thisperformsa block reset. Seepage 2-4 .

Pressing theresetkeywhileholdingdown the shiftkey
performs acontrol reset. Seepage 2-4 for details.
Display Select
[DISP SELECT]
Usethiskeytodisplaythedifferentaxis positiondisplay
softkeys.
End of Block [E.O.B.] UsethiskeytoenteranEndofBlockcharacterwhen
editing aprogram or when writingan MDIprogram.
[PROC SELECT] This key isused for dual process lathe systems only.
Pressing thiskeytogglesthecontrolfrom processto
process.
[SHIFT] and [• ] Pressthe[SHIFT] keywhileholdingdown the [• ]
softkeytojump tothe onlinesearchmonitorscreen. Press
these keysagaintoreturn to thepreviousscreen.
