Chapter 8 EtherNet/IP Communications
Module Status
None —
The E300 EtherNet/IP Communication Module is
not receiving power.
Check the control power connection on the A1
and A2 terminals of the E300 EtherNet/IP
Control Module.
Green, Red, Not
Illuminated
Flashing (once) Normal This is a normal power-up sequence.
Green Flashing
The E300 EtherNet/IP Communication Module is
not being scanned by the EtherNet/IP master.
Check the Ethernet scan list for the correct
scanner configuration.
Green Solid
Normal operating state, the E300 EtherNet/IP
Communication Module is allocated to its
master.
No action is required.
Red Flashing
One or more EtherNet/IP connections timed out.
Reset the E300 EtherNet/IP Communication
Module.
The E300 Overload Relay is in a fault state.
Reset the E300 EtherNet/IP Communication
Module or verify the validity of the data in the
configuration assembly.
Red Solid Diagnostics test failed on power-up/reset.
Cycle power to the device. If the fault still exists,
replace the device.
Link1 or Link2
None —
The E300 EtherNet/IP Communication Module is
not properly connected to an Ethernet network.
Check the Ethernet cabling to make sure it is
properly installed.
Green Flashing The Ethernet network is properly connected. No action is required.
Green Solid
Communications are occurring on the Ethernet
network.
No action is required.
