SLC 5/03, 5/04, 5/05 (channel 0)
Make sure that the SLC DH-485 port is configured as follows:
Parameter Selections Recommended
Baud Rate 1200, 2400, 9600, 19.2K 19.2K
Node Address 0 to 31 Next lowest address on the
network. Set to 1 for point-to
point communications .
Maximum Node
Address
0 to 31 Set to maximum node on net-
work. Set to 1 for point-to
point communications .
Token Hold Factor 1 to 4 1
Diagnostic File Number 0 to 255 Any
Parity None, Odd, or Even
Even
Data Bits 7 or 8 8
For maximum response times on point-to-point networks, we recommend:
To transfer data quickly from the SLC 500 to the DTAM set as the SLC as node 0 and the DTAM as
node 1. Maximum node address should be 1.
To transfer data quickly from the DTAM to the SLC 500 set as the DTAM as node 0 and the SLC as
node 1. Maximum node address should be 1.
SLC 5/03, 5/04, 5/05 (channel 0) only supports EVEN parity.
The DTAM Plus must be set as follows for communication to occur. The
DTAM module uses DH485 protocol but the comm port is set for RS-232
(switch 1 position 2 is open).
