DeviceNet Information A-7
Publication 198-UM001B-EN-P September 2001
The following services are implemented for the DeviceNet Object:
Assembly Object — Class ID (04hex)
The Modular-DSA I/O System can send and receive data in a variety of formats. Some
formats are made to facilitate off-line programming, while others minimize the amount of
data transmitted back to the host. Each type of data formatting, or assembly, is referred to as
an instance. Assemblies are referenced from the master’s (usually a PLC) perspective. The
Output Assembly is data sent by a master and received by the Modular-DSA I/O System
modules. An Input Assembly is the data sent by a Modular-DSA I/O System device and
received by a master. The following is a list of all of the different assemblies. An explanation
for each follows the tables.
