Span Your Valves
Chapter 9

We recommend that you first span for optimum performance your low
pressure valve used for the LPC profile. You do this in five parts:
Confirm critical values
Span your low pressure valve
Test value linearity with a LPC profile
Set up tonnage (hydraulic clamp) or hold pressure (toggle clamp)
Set the profile pressure alarm
Important: You may omit the procedure Span your low pressure valve in
this section if the recorded valve spanning data from the manufacturer for
pressure control limits LPC41-44 (chapter 7) are adequate for your
application.
Confirm Critical Values
Important: Confirm that your configuration values (chapter 7) and profile
values (chapter 8) for the low pressure close profile are as follows:
