Operating System Installation Procedures
IMPORTANT
These installation scenarios use a “clean” PC
installation method in which all data on the system is
erased. This is an irrecoverable action. All data must
be first backed up or transferred to another system
before proceeding.
• ProcessLogix R510.0 Servers require the Windows
2000 Server operating system.
• ProcessLogix R510.0 Client Stations may use
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP
Professional or Windows 2000 Server.

• Windows NT 4.0 Server and Workstation are not
supported.

Windows 2000 Server is not recommended as a Client for ProcessLogix R510.0 due to the standard hardware
and operating system requirements.
