Installing Windows 2000 Service Pack 2
1. Logon to the system as Administrator.
2. Insert the ProcessLogix R500.1 Supplemental Software CD into the
CD-ROM drive.
3. Click Start ⇒ Run.
4. Enter this path or Browse to:
>D:(or your CD-ROM drive letter)\win2k_sp\w2ksp2.exe<
5. Click OK to launch the Service Pack 2 setup application.
6. At the Windows 2000 Service Pack Setup window, check the boxes:
• Accept the License Agreement.
• Backup files necessary to uninstall this Service Pack at a later time.
7. Click Install to initiate the Service Pack 2 update.
8. At the Setup Complete window, close any open applications and click
Restart.
9. Continue the installation with Windows 2000 Security Rollup
Installation on page 2-30.
TIP
If this is the first time start since the Windows 2000
operating system install, it will be necessary to remove the
default startup screens.
