This may take 30-60 minutes to complete.
After reboot, the installation will cycle through the following:
• Preparing Installation
• Installing Windows
• Finalizing Installation
When completed, the system will automatically reboot.
9. At the Welcome to Microsoft Windows screen, click Next.
10. To skip the Windows Registration Wizard, Choose 'No, not at this time.'
and click Next.
11. Click Finish to start Windows XP.
12. Logon to Windows XP Professional as ps_user.
13. When Windows XP starts select Start ⇒ Control Panel ⇒ User
Accounts
⇒Change the way users Log on or off.
14. If “Use the Welcome screen” is checked, uncheck it.
15. Click Apply Options.
16. Close all windows and restart the PC.
17. Continue with Internet Explorer 6.0 Security Update Installation on
page 2-34.
IMPORTANT
Microsoft Windows XP Professional must be registered
with the Microsoft Corporation, but registration is not
required at this time. We recommend that you skip this
step by answering No to the activation and registration
wizards.
Consult your company’s practices and IT organization to
determine proper license acquisition.
