Removing Selected Components
The client upgrade process requires that you remove specific
ProcessLogix Software components.

Removing ProcessLogix Update

Removing Knowledge Builder
• Removing PsAxCtl Document EXE
• Removing Engineering Tools
• Removing Quick Builder
• Cleaning Up the Registry
Removing ProcessLogix Update
1. Click Start⇒Programs⇒ProcessLogix Engineering
Tools
⇒Uninstall ProcessLogix Update.
2. At the Uninstall ProcessLogix Update window, enter 1.
Removing Knowledge Builder
Localization Localization settings are lost during the upgrade, reapply the settings
after the upgrade.
Station
configuration file
Winnt\station.ini
If you have made changes in the station.ini file, you will need to
reapply them to the new file after the upgrade. The
IconPopToTopOnAlarm option has been removed, and is no longer
recognized by Station.
Its replacement is FlashWindowOnAlarm, which enables Station to
flash its title bar and taskbar icon when an alarm is generated. This
behavior is disabled by default. DisConnectTimeout and
KeepAliveTimeout settings have been added, and are used to
configure fast Station failover. For details, see the

Station setup file The new default setup file is configured to as “static Station 1”. If this
is not correct, you must make the appropriate changes via Station’s
Setup menu. See the
Configuration Guide for details.
