Use the LED Status Indicators
The 1756-CLX/C module has the following LED status indicators. Use these indicators to
troubleshoot module status.:
Table 5.A LED Status Indicators
This LED When Means So you should
BAT (RED) ON The battery is low. Replace the module.
The battery is charging. The BAT
LED turns OFF within a few
minutes after power is applied.
Wait for the battery to finish
charging.
OFF The Battery is charged.
The module is not powered up.
Do nothing. The module is ready
for use.
Apply power to the module.
USR
(GREEN)
ON/OFF Data is being sent or received
over the NeXUS port.
Do nothing. The module is
operating correctly.
OFF No data is being sent or received
over the NeXUS port.
The module is not powered up.
Check the Communication port
LEDs. If:
• LEDs are working properly,
restart the module
• LEDs are not working
properly, follow the
instructions in
Tabl e 5.B on
page 5-3
• the problem persists, replace
the module
Apply power to the module.
OK
(STATUS)
GREEN The module is operating
correctly.
Do nothing. The module is ready
for use.
RED The module has experienced an
error.
Restart the module. If the
problem persists, replace the
module.
OFF The module is not powered up. Apply power to the module.
